Synthesis Essay

For this essay, you will analyze three of the texts we have read in class to discuss a concern that these texts share related to technology. You will use one of these texts as your primary source to formulate your thesis, and the other two will become supporting evidence in developing your argument. Your conclusion should present 2 or 3 larger questions about the issue (which you will be exploring/pursuing in your final research paper).

The texts you may use for this essay are (choose 3):

“Can You Hear Me Now?" - Sherry Turkle
“Lurking: How a Person Became a User" - Joanne McNeil
“You Are Not a Gadget" - Jaron Lanier
“The Judgment of Thamus" - Neil Postman
