Learning outcome:  Understand the complexity of conducting sociological research as well as the ethical considerations involved.   

For this discussion board topic, I want you to pick one of the studies explored in this chapter, including Middletown, Lady Gaga/Beyonce fans or the Black Panthers, or the Durkheim project study, linked in the content module.  Summarize the study that was conducted, including the specific research methods chosen and the aim(s) of the researcher(s).  Then, using the ethical guidelines covered at the end of the chapter, state whether or not you felt the research was ethical and why.  You are also free to do some looking around and find a different sociological research study.  Just be sure and include proper citations.
