This assignment will build upon the risk response plan you developed in the previous module. Here, we will focus on the sources and categories of risk you are idenitfying as you work through the Tyrell Corporation web rebuild project.
When you are ready to write, your write-up must contain the following sections, each separated in your paper with a bolded subheader. Each section should be no less than eight sentences.
- Risk Source: Building upon the risks you identified and categorized in your Risk Management Plan assignment, you will use this section to identify your sources of risk. So, recreate (or copy and paste) the table from your previous assignment and add any additional risks, in order of greatest to least, in the left-hand column. Now, create a right-hand column and list the source of risk for each (i.e., where is each risk coming from? What is driving it?).
- Risk Category: Add a third column to your table and categorize your risks. For this section, you must refer to the 19 items identified in the Types of Project Risk module to determine the correct categories.
- Reflection: For this section, determine how many items of each category you have identified (e.g., three risks fall under Executive Support, five fall under Scope, etc.). What are your most common categories of risk? Why is this the case? How can you focus on this category more throughout your project to help mitigate the amount of risk you are dealing with?
