A film review is a way for you to show me how you can apply ideas from class to human behavior in novel ways. While movies include lots of characters, behaviors, and relationships that are tempting to fit into one paper, do not write about all of them. Choose just one topic covered in class as your focus and only present the ideas that are relevant to that topic. The assignments asks you to consider the movie from the point of view of an evolutionary psychologist. Therefore, consider how an evolutionary psychology would assess the thoughts, feelings, and actions of the characters in the film. Use the ideas, terms, and theories from the textbook and lectures, to show how they can help you understand real human life.
The key topics are: evolution, genetics, human nature, human evolution, survival challenges, sexual selection, attractive bodies and minds. Write on one of the following four film choices:
