WEEK THREE DISCUSSION: CHAPTER 2- IMPORTANT: WRITE ALL RESPONSES TO DISCUSSIONS IN A “QUESTION AND ANSWER” FORMAT. THAT MEANS WRITE OUT THE QUESTION FIRST IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE YOU DRAFT YOUR RESPONSE BACK TO IT. INCLUDE THE NUMBER IN WHICH YOU ARE RESPONDING TO.
1.) Are capitalism and affluence prerequisites for democracy? These are perhaps the most controversial claims made by the author in setting out a definition for democracy. Answer in at least 200 words.
2.) How might the growing use of social networking affect democracy in a country? Will it affect the civic culture in a particular country? Answer in at least 200 words.
Don’t forget to write back responses to TWO PEERS that are at least 100 words each.
