Radiation can be dangerous and lethal if exposed to a certain amount, therefore, radiation safety and protection should always be prioritized. It is very unusual for radiologic technologists to receive more than the usual amount of radiation which is about 5Rem if properly educated. Learning safe distances and radiation protection/safety is crucial to decrease the amount of radiation exposed to both healthcare workers and patient.
