• Research and then brainstorm an appropriate mission and vision of your coalition, partnership, or committee based on the ideal participants you selected. Consider answers to the following:
  • What do you see as the ultimate positive outcome of the work of your coalition, as opposed to immediate or interim outcomes? What do you see as the future of your coalition? Be sure your vision is clear and easy to communicate with others.
  • What is the group going to do and why? Use inclusive language to help ensure the longevity of the group.
  • Brainstorm objectives and goals of your group.
  • What are the anticipated results of the group?
  • What are the resources and relationships outside of your committee that will be needed to accomplish your goals?
  • Write a 1.5- to 2-page draft outline and a listing of objectives and goals for your group with a rationale for each component.
