Reaction papers should: 1) briefly summarize the documentary or podcast (one page or less), 2) describe the students reaction to the documentary, 3) relate course material to the documentary, and 4) relate the documentary to current events and/or policies.

When writing reaction papers, students should keep the following questions in mind: 
Was there anything in the video that was especially surprising or shocking? 
Why was it shocking? 
How does this documentary relate to what I am learning in the course? 
Is there anything in the news or on TV that relates to this documentary? 
Does the documentary discuss any policies or practices in probation or parole I think should be changed? What would I change? 

Reaction papers should be at least 3 pages double-spaced (Times New Roman font, size 12, 1 margins APA style). A title page does not count towards the page requirement. Students should cite sources in-text and on a separate References page (the References page also does not count towards the page requirement).
