You will need to approach your assignments from an analytical perspective, NOT a descriptive perspective. Most students describe each article in their assignment submission, which is not what the assignment asks. Your responses should not consist of unsupported opinions. Instead, you should put the readings in conversation with each other and produce an informed opinion. The readings should support your claims. The readings should support your arguments. This should be a conversation discussion about the three provided papers.
Your critique needs to put the articles into conversation by demonstrating the links, connections, and patterns concerning conflict in relation to the context presented
- Your critique needs to clearly discuss the overall message about conflict gleaned from across the articles when put into conversation. The overall message is not the module context. You are to ascertain the overall message from the readings. Make an argument concerning the message by using the articles to support your claim.
- Your assignment must focus on the way(s) in which conflict shows up within the context(s) presented within the module theme.
- Your assignment must reflect a conversation between articles, not an analysis or description of each article. If you are writing about each article, one at a time, you are not putting the articles in conversation.
- The purpose of the articles is to teach you about conflict within various contexts. Your work should reflect an understanding of this purpose.
