You will be asked to provide ONE DAY worth of healthy meals/snacks (3 meals and 2 snacks). These meals must be based on Choose My Plate and the Dietary Guidelines. For each meal, you need to explain WHY you chose each food based on the principles of healthy eating covered in Mod 2 (Choose My Plate/Dietary Guidelines). IMPORTANT: these explanations should focus on the food groups and the main recommendations from the Dietary Guidelines, not on individual Vitamins and Minerals. For example, if one of your meals was oatmeal and a banana, you would focus on the whole grains, whole fruit, and limited added sugar it provides, not on the potassium, fiber, etc.
