2.   Each student will complete a power point presentation on a DSM 5 diagnosis or issue related to the course that is approved by the Instructor( minimum of 20 slides).Students must work independently on this project. Disorders/topics must not be duplicated within your class, so each student must select your topic as soon as possible, Instructor will post a link to sign-up during the first few weeks of class. Presentations should include the following elements:

4. Please make sure to include the diagnostic code for your disorder, example:  (F60.3 Borderline Personality disorder)
5. Age of onset or presentation
6. Evidence based treatment/intervention :Each student must conduct a literature review to locate 5 or more empirically based articles that describe the best available evidence for treating or intervening with this issue. Individuals must include a bibliography in their presentation.

7. Community (Birmingham, Al and regional) resources available for this disorder must be included. Please do a detailed and in depth search of resources. Include those for people without insurance as well.

8. A meaningful discussion question at the end of the presentation that can be answered/discussed by peers should be included. The one question should promote evaluation/discussion, not simply ask a question that the answer can be found in the presentation.

9. Creativity: include video, audio, interviews etc. (not to exceed five minutes for these elements).
