This written memoir should be 3 – 4 pagestyped in correct MLA format.  No works cited page is necessary unless you happen to cite a source.  I will not be using a rubric to grade this essay.

Write about a specific memorable event from your life.  It should be a complete story that is visual, detailed and makes the reader care.  Rely on sensory language to paint a picture of what’s going on in your story.

– Make sure your sentences are specific and clear.

– Provide sensory details.

– Include dialogue if you wish.

– Make sure your story includes emotion.  Complicated, well-developed stories are more interesting.

– Make your readers laugh, give them a chill, make their hearts break, scare them.

– For added interest, you could include a strong attention getter such as starting in the middle of the story or including reflection.

– Most importantly, have fun writing it!
