Your assignment is to describe the evolution of a particular group of organisms, unique adaptations to their environment and current applications. Competition for food supply, habitat, predator cycles or sexual selection are examples of selective pressure that can be included in your description. The information should be beyond the level of the textbook, not including more than 1 page of diagrams/pictures.  

The report should be 5-6 pages in length, and organized from an outline. Your report should cite references for your research material as described below.

1.      Books

2.      Scientific Journal; Science, Nature, Cell, Developmental Biology, etc

   Arranged by author, date, title, journal citation with volume, pages.

      An Internet search for resources can be performed via www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov.                                                                       Choose Pubmed database and enter a keyword or organism in the search box.

 This search will generate a list of journal articles with abstracts for you to pursue information about your topic. If you use the filters on the left side, you can select articles that are free, full text, and review articles to get started.
