  Both Satan and God are fathers.  Compare the relationship between God the Father and the Son with the relationship between Satan, Sin, and Death.  The Son is called the Divine Similitude (3. 384).  Sin is the perfect image of Satan:

 

I pleas’d, and with attractive graces won 
The most averse, thee chiefly, who full oft
Thy self 
in me thy perfect image viewing
Becam’st enamour’d. (2. 762-765) 

 

In what different or similar ways do the Son and Sin resemble their respective fathers: God and Satan?  Make sure to support your observations with well-chosen passages from the text. 


I have also started the paper, just wont have time to finish it. Feel free to tweak whatever you need to make this work. I will attach what I have started below.
