Assignment Details (100 points)

· Research your subject and find a video performance of them on YouTube, find some good pictures as well.

· I want a 14 slide PowerPoint (the first slide is your title slide, and the last slide is for citations only) so twelve are for content.

· Example:

· 1st slide= title slide

· 2nd to 13th slides= your artist content

· 14th slide= citations

· Pretend you are a professor, and I am your student. What about this artist or group would you want me to know in this mini lesson.

· You should include bio information, what kind of music genre were they famous for singing, name two of their famous songs (you could feature these as your video if you can find it), what other musicians did they work with, did they also play an instrument, and finally talk about why you gravitated to this artist and why you find their music compelling and relevant to you. Find a YouTube of them performing if possible.

· Do Not: give me slides with only pictures. I need more info on the musician of your choice.

· On the citations: I only want a short URL: example- www.ellafitzgerald.com. Remove any hyperlinks.

Tips: I find that bulleted information in slide presentations are easier to read than paragraphs, but some info may need to be in small paragraphs. I also like to put images on all my slides to break up too many words, but I will leave that up to you. Use my PowerPoints as a guide.
