Each student will select a specific region of the United States based on the Federal Bureau of Prisons map located on their website  Once you have reviewed the region that you have selected, please review the various states that are included within your region.  From that region, select 2 jails and 3 prisons from any system (local, state and/or federal) and provide the following information:

1. Name and location of facility
2. Type of facility (jail, prison, local, state, federal, etc)
3. Overview of population demographics and custody level
4. Overview of Special Programs or Issues specific to this facility
5. Reason why you selected this facility for this assignment
