Write a 250-350 word essay using the following information:

1. Read the first three pages of a regional or state newspaper.

2. Select an article that is concerned with insurance coverage for domestic partners and or trans individuals.

• If you find an article deeper in the paper it is fine to select it but recognize that the most important articles tend to be in the beginning of the paper.
• You may also choose to locate an online article but be sure that it is a new article published within the last month or as recently as possible. Do your best to get a recent article.  You are in essence locating an article targeted at the general public – NOT a scholarly article.  There is a scholarly article below these directions. That is for your general knowledge, and if you choose, you can include it in your BLOG, but you still need to find a recent news article to write your BLOG on, since that is this assignment.

 3. After finding & reading the article, write your essay in which you state your opinion about the article, and explain why the issues of insurance coverage are such a hot topic for domestic partnerships and or trans individuals  that it appears in the first three pages of the newspaper.

4. You must cite your article in the body of the writing using APA style. Place the Reference for that article at the end of the blog entry.
