For this week’s assignment you will be preforming some hands-on analysis of facial recognition. Follow the steps below and keep notes as appropriate in your word document/lab report. Due to privacy concerns, etc. we are a bit limited on this exercise.
Step 1: Go to this and chose the LIVE SHOWCASE DEMO and click “Try Out Demo”.
Step 2: Allow the webpage to access your webcam. You should see your face, look straight on into the camera.
Step 3: You will get a green set of dots/data points around your face. Take a screenshot of the results. Try a few other facial expressions and play around with the options. And take a few other screenshots. Finally, how did the software do on detecting your emotions and your age?

Step 3: You will get a orange box around your face. Take a screenshot of the results. Try a few other facial expressions and play around with the options. And take a few other screenshots. Finally, how did the software do on detecting your emotions and your age?

Step 4: Download and unzip the facial.zip file. There are a total of 10 celebrities in there. You must use various tools to match and identify them, such as Google Image Search, Tineye, etc. , put your list of guesses in your paper. NOTE: I am looking for 10 total celebrity names.
Step 5: Go to NOTE: Ignore the “Go to console” button and scroll down a little bit, you will see a section titled, “Try the API” this is where you can upload a picture you SHOULD NOT be asked for any credit card information.
Step 6: Use a photograph of yourself and screenshot the results of each tab into your lab document.
Step 7: Reviewing the results of both tools on your picture, what was the accuracy of the tools?

Step 10: Test your skills about reading micro expressions. These go VERY quick so lets do about 100, then screenshot your score and paste it into the lab document.
Step 11: Submit the above results into the dropbox.
*If work reasons bar you from using your photo you may substitute someone else’s photo in.
You must support your conclusions, observations, assertions, implications etc with at least ONE scholarly reference as well as include an in-text citation. Additionally, ensure you include a SEPARATE title page. Lastly, ensure you are using APA standards.
