How to create an argument map with “Insert Drawing” in Microsoft Word:
Step 1: Assign numbers to the propositions that make up the argument.
Step 2: With your task document open in Word, click “Insert,” then click “Drawing.”
Step 3: Either (a) use “Insert” and “Shapes” to create a map of the argument, using numbered circles to represent the propositions and arrows to represent support, or (b) use “Draw” to make your own circles and arrows.
Step 4: Click “Save and Close” to insert the map into your document.
