Emotional intelligence translates to effective practice through, “four emotion-regulating pillars—self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management—designed to support healthy relationships and personal balance” (Perkins, 2021). Nurses must emphasize the importance of emotional intelligence in practice to effectively lead and enact change.
In this Discussion you will consider your own emotional intelligence (EI) and explore the application in your DNP project.
