Focus on the terms and concepts presented in Section 2: Media and Process, as well as what you’ve learned from Section 1. In your analysis of the exhibit, discuss what the artist has created – is it a drawing, painting, photo, etc. How did they create the work? What skills does the artist have? What processes did they use? Don’t forget to still correctly use the terms and concepts from Section 1 as well – Line, Shape, Space, Color, etc.
Hold on – Before you submit your assignment, make sure:
- You’ve read the Gallery Review Assignment page
- Your paper is 800 words minimum. If it’s not, you’ll get a zero! Again, I’m not kidding.
- You are reviewing ONE art exhibition from one of the approved gallery or museum websites during the duration of this course
- The exhibition you are writing about is different from the one you used for Gallery Review 1
- You are discussing at least three different works of art within that exhibition using terms from the book
- You have at least the name of the Gallery, name of the Exhibition, titles of the pieces, the names of the artists who made those pieces, and the medium of the works you’re reviewing.
- Have you spelled checked it? Does it read well?
- Are you writing at a college level? Have you used paragraphs, topic sentences, and conclusions?
If you’re confident about your paper, and you have done all of the above, then we can’t wait to read it!
