Freedom/Freewill

What was at the core of the Cold War conflict over values? How could representatives of each superpower argue for their country’s superiority?  Drawing on at least three class sources and at least four articles (at least two from LifeTime, and/or Sports Illustrated and two from the Current Digest of the Soviet Press), explore an aspect of this ideological battle. Possible themes could include: individualism, family, role of women in society, role of money in society, race, equality/inequality, visions of a meaningful life, freedom, global leadership, espionage, nuclear war, etc. Be sure to make a specific argument and yet to explain both points of view. Approximately five pages.
