Assignment: Use the “Misinformation and the Media” Pro/Con articles on media from The CQ Researcher, and the “How conspiracy theories spread online it’s not just down to algorithm” references to write a well-organized and grammatically correct essay (700-800 words).

• Incorporate a summarizing of the two CQ Researcher writer’s perspectives on the media issue supporting a synthesis of your own perspective on the issue.
• Summaries of the Pro/Con perspectives should demonstrate skill with alternating arrangement strategies practiced in previous writing assignments.
• Third source on conspiracy theory should provide at least one quote to support body paragraphs.

Your paper should have a thesis statement that:

• Provides a brief summary of issue and outlines criteria addressed,
  and
• Forecasts the conclusion in response to the topic.

The introduction (summary) section should constitute roughly of your essay and include some direct quotation.

The body (synthesis and discussion) of your own response to the articles should constitute half of your paper and include summary, paraphrase and quotation.

The conclusion should coordinate thesis and body of evidence in final of essay.
