After watching the film Veronica Guerin (and perhaps doing a little research on the real Guerin), please comment on the hazards of investigative journalism. Guerin is certainly not the first — or last — reporter to die while exposing corruption, crime, and immoral and/or illegal activities whether they be in private, business or government sectors.

Keeping the First Amendment in mind, address why it is vital that reporters persist in exposing the truth in order to effect change in society and the world.
