Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to analyze a bill.

Process:

Do a search to identify at least one health care reform passed in the last year or currently under consideration by your state legislature.

Describe the reform(s).

Briefly describe the process the reform(s) has gone through and where it is currently in the legislative process. Was it introduced in a committee? If so, which one and by whom? Who sponsored the reform? If it was introduced in committee briefly describe the committee’s purpose. Tell me more about this committee, who is chair and members?

Describe the bill and its current status.

What is your opinion of the reform? Thoroughly explain the rationale for your opinion. Your rationale must be evidence based. ( My opinion on the reform is that this is amazing for Georgians to have access to mental health care, please elaborate based on that stance.)

Paper Guidelines:

Label each major section of the paper with appropriate headers as per APA format.

Provide evidence to support your opinions and recommendations.

Reflect upon the social issue.

Analyze research findings and draw conclusions.

Provide a title page, body of the paper, and reference page.

Use Level 1 APA headings to organize your thoughts/paper.

Description of where the reform is and what it has gone through to get to this point

Bill description and status

Committee and member’s where bill was initiated

Your opinion of the reform and why
