COLLAPSE

After reading throw-out the site from ‘The Zero to Three”, I am comfortable to say that I am clearer and more pleased with the expanded of information related to how babies’ brain develops during the growing-up process. Like on their early childhood knowledge substance so much and get to growth. During this first couple of year of life, a child’s life is essential as this will be the basic knowledge as part of their fundamental’s skill to survival: self-discipline, connection creating, and more.

I learned that “This innovative training focuses on giving trainers evidence-informed strategies with which to prepare early childhood providers for their vital role in building healthy brains. The curriculum fills a unique niche by providing a comprehensive understanding of how the brain develops, along with ways the provider can encourage healthy brain development in children from birth to 5 years old.

Participants will learn skills and strategies for:

Teaching early childhood providers about brain development (architecture and neurobiology) to inform their practice

Supporting language, cognition, prosocial behavior, and social-emotional development

Reducing toxic stress that can negatively influence brain development of very young children.

The Growing Brain: From Birth to 5 Years Old is comprised of seven 3-hour units., Brain Basics, Factors Affecting Brain Growth and Development, Communication and Language Development, Cognition and Executive Function, Social-Emotional Development, Understanding Behavior, The Everyday Play” (from Zero to Three 2022).

It’s very enthralling that a child’s brain understood and learned so much more than a billion neural associates each second. Every video clicks show us how fast children are able to assimilate something that could be hard to think that they would understand and learn so faster than what we thought.

COLLAPSE

According to the text (Lundahl, B.W. & Hull, G. (2014) the most important variable in differentiating males from females appears to be biological. There are other influences such as social and cognitive that also play a role as well. Differentiating developes early on in the gestational period when the influence of the X chromosome appears which are the development of testes and produce androgens which lead to male sexual organs. Estrogen which is found as a female hormone starts to be developed in the gestational period of 11- 21 weeks. Research suggests that the hormones play a significant role in changing both the brain and behavior. Research also suggests that when playing a role in changing brain and behavior that behavior includes things like choice of playmates and activities starting at a young age. Testosterone is linked to differences in social cognition like empathy, another biological difference that impacts more than just sexual organs.

Social theories suggest that men and women differences also stem from different roles they play, power differentials and modeling to which children are exposed to while growing up. Children learn from their parents or caregivers on gender roles and expectations. Not only do they learn and model what their parents or caregivers do, there seems to be a difference in how parents treat their daughters or sons as well. Children observing what their parents roles are as men and women, watching television shows, movies, social media, and other adults in the community influence culture and what gender identity may look like for them.
