Conflict minerals are mined and then later sold by different regions aroundthe world that at some point experience some kind of conflict. Conflictminerals can sometimes be mined with the use of forced labor or finance armedconflict as well. This helps support the trade around the nations within thefour main minerals that include tin, tantalum, tugsten and gold as well. Thesefour main minerals are mostly found in many mobile phones, jewellery and carsso they are very popular. Many of the consumers of these items dont even knowwhat happens to get these minerals to be able to make these products like theforced labor. Countries will usually be considered to be high risk conflictareas are regionally, locally, or global areas that have a high demand forthese natural resources and minerals. Theseminerals being mined may be very beneficial but it is also very harmful to theenvironment. This process alsodisrupts ecology and draws out wildlife from their homes and ruins fiseryhabitats. Some possible alleviations to ease the damage done to environmentcould be to keep the area they are working in clean to lessen the air pollutionaround, moving the mining facillities away from any town or cities within afifty mile radius, and even not ming for long hours of the day because it makesair pollution just get worse by the day. A lot could improve and become saferif everyone just started paying attention to what is gong on economically dueto mining for these conflict minerals.
