This assignment is divided into two parts: a DAP sketch of an infant or toddler classroom and two to three-page paper discussion what makes an infant or toddler classroom developmentally appropriate. For Part I of the assignment you will create a DAP sketch of an infant or toddler classroom. Your sketch can take a physical form or digital form. You must include seven to nine learning areas within your sketch. Each area should be properly labeled.

For Part 2 of the assignment, you will write a two to three-page paper that includes a description of the seven to nine learning areas, including all the materials that would be found in the area. For each learning section area, you should describe what type of learning would occur there and how this area supports the use of developmentally appropriate practice in an infant or toddler classroom. Be sure to review the rubric below to ensure that you meet all the requirements of the assignment.
