- 75% Thoughtful application of class/textual/research material to the topic
- 10% Clarity and organization
- 15% Spelling and grammar
Assignment #1
Read the article “Cultural Variation in Infants’ Sleeping Arrangements: Questions of Independence”.
Provide a written analysis (2-3 pages essay), using the critical thinking to answer the following questions:
- What is the role of culture, if any, on human development based on the information discussed in the article and you personal opinion?
- If you were a developmental specialist, what advice would you give to parents about infants’ sleeping arrangements and why.
- Bring up questions or ideas that occurred to you that future research studies should investigate and why.
