Part 1: Cultural Background:
You will remove this written part and will include a brief history of your cultural group. In
this section you will highlight important things such as:
1. Important historical information that will help us learn about the culture you
selected.
2. General demographic information about the cultural group.
– This should be 1-1.5 pages.
Part 2: Information for American college students about XYZ culture
In this section you will be responsible for teaching American college students about XYZ
culture. This will be the largest section of your guide. This section should include the
following:
1. Hofstede’s cultural value dimensions (chapters 3 & 5)
2. Kluckhohn & Strodtbeck’s value dimensions (chapters 3 & 5)
3. Communication norms and patterns (chapters 6 & 7)
4. Group membership. Tell us about some of the microcultural groups and how do
they different from the majority group?
– This should be 3 pages. You need to support this with reputable sources.
Part 3: Information for XYZ college students about your culture
In this section you will be responsible for comparing cultures and teaching students from
your selected cultural groups about what they can expect from their time here in the
U.S. This section should include information about:
1. How does your culture compare to the culture you selected (should be in
comparison to answers in part 2).
2. What are the implications of these differences?
a. How might misunderstandings be managed competently or flexibly?
3. Specific tips to help XYZ culture adjust to culture shock.
– This should be 2 pages.

1. Sources should be in APA format.
2. Paper should be formatted, with headings, as demonstrated in this document.
