Worship View Preference

Write a 2,000-word essay making a case for one of the views of worship from Basdens book, Exploring the Worship Spectrum. Examine the other views of worship. Most importantly, this essay is a reflection in your own words, citing Basden but employing your own critical analysis and describing why your worship view preference makes the most sense for the tradition you find yourself in or anticipate being a part of.

Resources. As you develop your research skills, you will be preparing for your Final Project. To work in that direction, please expand your research to include one or more from each of the following types of resources in your paper:

1. Textbook(s)
2. Other Logos resource (Use Logos Search Basic search for your topic in All Resources)
3. Peer-reviewed Journal (These are found in the South Library that is accessed through Academic Resources under the Home Course Menu
4. .edu website (These are educational websites. To find in your search engine, put the following after your search criteria: site:edu)

Tasks (Use the following as an outline for your paper):

• Choose one of the worship view preferences from Exploring the Worship Spectrum.
• Make a case for how this view best fits your tradition.
• Make a case for the strength of this view but also discuss its deficiencies compared to the other worship views described by Basden.
• Examine this material using your own critical analysis.

Your final product will be in a Microsoft Word document. Utilize at least five sources from professional and academic literature in your research (see the list of recommended resources above). Professional and academic literature may include peer-reviewed journals from the South University Online Library and other Logos resources, relevant textbooks, professional and academic books or monographs published by established academic and professional publishers. Interaction with relevant biblical texts is expected.

Your paper should be written in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and be formatted in Turabian style.
