my work needs to inculde the design in some 3D application, and basicallly explanations with all details in the theoretical and mathematical key.

The marine garbage collection robot you need to design is mainly to collect floating plastic garbage on the sea surface for resource recycling. The main structure can be designed as a ship with a device for collecting floating plastic. You can refer to the structure of other garbage collection robots for the collection device. Because you need to draw design drawings, you need 2D or 3D drawing software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, etc. If you are not familiar with them, it is best to take the time to learn.

The main job is the structural design, so you need to complete the design of all the needed parts (standard parts have to be selected in type, e.g. bearings, bolts, etc.)

Take this design sa an example, It is necessary to complete the hull, the dustbin the rollers, support frame, and including other used parts such as gears, bearings and bolts.

The engine can be a motor, which is driven by a battery. Select the motor type according to the required torque and power. According to the motor type, the speed can be known. With the designed roller speed, the gears parameters can be designed.

Similar to this example, you can select the design structure at first, and then design and calculate each parts.

There is no need to consider the control system, because the control system also requires a lot of work, and there is not enough time to complete in our graduation project.

Dimensions and sizes can be considered by yourself

Standard parts are the bolts, bearings, etc., just select the model number. These standard parts can be consulted in the mechanical design manual

The motor does not need to be redesigned, only the appropriate motor model needs to be selected according to the speed and torque requirements. Need to explain the design and calculation of the main parts, not every part is required. Your design report needs about 80-100 pages.

Early June 2022: The university conducts random checks on the graduation design (thesis) of the 2022 class

Early-mid June 2022: Graduation design defence; final draft of graduation design (thesis) uploaded to the system and submitted for checking
