3. ALLOCATION OF PROPERTY RIGHTS IN TATTOOS

Let’s assume for the sake of argument that tattoos can be copyrighted. In the absence of a legally-enforceable agreement between the tattoo artist and the client (i.e., the person paying for the tattoo), who should own the legal rights to the tattoo: the artist or the client? Explain. (200 words.)
