Based on this week’s reading assignment (RE: Treason), chapter reading and perhaps other sources, including the Robert Mueller report, is it remotely possible that (former) President Donald Trump (while he was in office) should have been charged with treason (irrespective of the notion that you can’t charge a sitting President with a crime)? Please explain your position. 

NOTE: I don’t want just your opinion. I want your answer supported with a sound legal basis supported with references.
