A close analysis is a thoughtful, critical analysis of a text. Close analyses will help you better interact with and understand the texts you are reading in this class. Think of this paper as an expanded discussion post response and write a 2 double-spaced page (450 words) critical analysis paper on the topic. You should NOT be summarizing the reading in the paper; rather, you should be interacting with the source directly. This means that you should be analyzing and challenging the material.
