assignment #1 (topic from Chapters 1-8) is due on February 24, 2022 

Choose one topic in the assigned textbook chapters. Find an example of how a consumer behavior concept is currently being used in a marketing strategy.  The example could be a print advertisement, video/broadcast commercial, social media message, billboard, website, or other form of integrated marketing communication. The analysis should be at least three typed pages and you must include a photo/scan of the example or link that will take me directly to the example in the appendix (such as a website, YouTube video, etc.)  

 

Critique:  identify the major behavioral concept involved in the marketing message/strategy.   Write an explanation of how you think the concept is being used by the marketer, a critique of how well you think it succeeds in fulfilling the marketers objectives, and why.  Identify the target market for the product/service.  Also discuss the executional elements of the marketing message physical layout, color, music, visual components, etc.  Finally, discuss additional concepts that you feel are present in the message.   

 

Grading criteria includes:

  • Using correct APA format and include two peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles and textbook references
  • Proper use of the language 
  • Appropriateness of example to illustrate the concept
  • Discussion of major concept, target market, additional concepts, executional elements
