  1. What was Kodak’s core competency through the 1980s and 1990s? What was their reason for being/purpose as an organization?
  2. If Kodak had made a big push into digital in the 1990s, how could they have mitigated the risk of cannibalizing its film sales by bringing this new technology to the market? In other words, what actions could they have taken to confidently move forward with the development of digital technology?  Think about what we discussed in Week 1 to understand what Monitoring the Marketing Environment means.
  3. What key signal arose from the launch of the iphone in 2007 that caused consumers to begin their transition to the smartphone, and ultimately caused the decline in digital camera sales? If Kodak was listening for the signals, what should they have done to remain a player in the industry?

Format is Q&A – not essay. The 3 Questions and the responses must all fit on 1 page, including citations. Analyze & Synthesize!
It is a critical skill to be able to fully address a question in a concise format and remove extraneous details ("noise"). 

Avoid 1 or 2 sentence responses, which likely will not fully answer the question and convey your key insights and takeaways.
Avoid stating the obvious in the responses. You should showcase the new knowledge produced from your critical analysis. 

Do use complete sentences and incorporate bullet points when applicable.
Include at least 1 textbook citation for any of the 3 questions. You are not required to have 1 citation per question.
