Assignment:
Case studies are a way for students to dive deeper into course content while also exploring an area of interest. As a popular format for research in Comparative Politics, students will learn to consider how phenomena experienced by particular places or populations can reflect global patterns. Students are expected to use scholarly sources, data, and media to relate their case to the course concept discussed for that week. Students are encouraged to choose countries with which they are unfamiliar.
In lecture today we learned how the Cold War was fought by the USSR and USA through the monetary and military support of civil wars within other countries.
