Pick a health-related to bill introduced in the Oklahoma Legislature this year. To find a bill, you can search by committee (look for committees related to health/health care), by subject (look for subjects related to health/health care) or by number (if you already have a specific one in mind). If you need a refresher on how to search for bills, see the links in the chapter 4 slides.

Once you have your bill selected, briefly answer the following questions:

• Policymaking occurs in the context of a dynamic external environment. What external factors do you think influenced this legislation?
• The phases of the policymaking process are interactive and interdependent. How might other steps of the policymaking process factor into this legislation?
• Policymaking is a cyclical process. Pretend that your bill passed and it is now the year 2027. Why might someone want to amend this legislation?
