Choose two separate works of art that are intriguing or appealing to you. One work must be dated before AD 1500, and the other work must be dated after AD 1500. Examine the works closely, take thorough notes about what you see, how and where they are displayed, and your impressions of the work; then write a 500-650-word critique of each work answering some of the questions found below. You may wish to compare and contrast the two works together in your writing, or you may wish to treat each work separately, the choice is yours.
