This is a research and critical analysis essay based on one of the topics discussed until this week. 

The essay has to contain at least 5 references to academic sources (political essays, journal articles, book chapters). 

The essay has to be written in Times New Roman 12, double spaced. The length of the essay: 6 pages+ the bibliography attached to it on the 7th page.

Possible topic choices (however, you can choose your own topic too in consultation with me):

1. Arabic cultural influences in Western architecture, sciences, organizational structures, etc.

2. Wonders of the Arab world: focus on one specific country, region, cultural or religious site, etc.

3. The dangers of stereotyping and breaking taboos about Arabs

4. The Arab world today: an overview.

5. Geopolitics in the Arab World: focus on one issue or conflict.

6. The Arabic language: language of poetry, language of the Qu’ran, the MSA, etc.

7. Religion(s) in the Arab world.

8. The Islamization of the Arab world.

9. Family values, family structures: between tribal culture and Western culture.
