Each student will write 2 critical summary essays for the class. Each student will select a topic based upon the “Reversing Sail” and the “Civilizations of Africa.” The first essay will be a summarization of a historical period and African world culture from the book “Reversing Sail” focusing on one of the following chapters: Intro, 1, 2, 4, 5 (3 pgs.)
