Conduct your own research and identity one dimension of the criminal justice system that does not function well and one dimension of the criminal justice system that does work well. Find evidence for this that you can share in your post (an article from a reputable news source, for instance).
In your post, explain why these aspects of the criminal justice system do, or do not, work well. You must justify your arguments and provide evidence in support of them. The best, most compelling evidence, will be peer-reviewed academic articles. Poor evidence is anecdotal, such as the "insights" of a friend who works in the criminal justice system (never rely on this as evidence for anything other than an individual opinion). The strongest posts will incorporate academic evidence to support the analysis of the two issues you have identified.
In addition to your individual post, you must also respond to at least two other students. Responses must be more than simply a favorable remark – they must advance the discussion in a meaningful way.
