Ethics Case Report (50% of Final Grade)

Students are required to complete an ethics case report in each of the five terms of the practicum.
To complete this assignment, students must prepare a report exploring their personal ethical dilemma as discussed in the class “clear circle” exercise. You must draw on the ethical decision-making framework. 

The components of the ethical decision-making framework are as follows: 

I  Identify personal ethical concerns?

1. The Heart’s Reasons: A brief statement as to the student’s immediate intuitive response to the situation.
2. The Roots of Responsibility: A full discussion of student’s values that are in conflict, and how those values were developed over the course of the student’s life.
3. What is My Personal Vision: A discussion of the kind of person the student wants to be in the long and short term and how the decision might move the student in the direction of their personal vision.

II What are the Organizational Concerns?

4. Who are the Stakeholders
5. What is their Influence?

III Analyze Problem

6. Develop Alternatives & Decision Criteria
7. Select Alternative

The report is to be 3 to 4 pages in length not including title page, table of contents or appendices, double spaced 12 point, 8.5 x 11” page 1” margin all around. Please use APA style referencing.

For ALL courses EXCEPT English, Assignments will be accepted late only up until 7 days past the due date AT A PENALTY of 10% per day. For Assignments due in the last week of class, students must speak to the instructor to explain why the final assignment will be late, and anything medical will require a Doctor’s note. The instructor will contact Neha Shivhare, to discuss the situation and together, they will decide if the case is deserving of an extension, for how long, and if there should be a penalty
