Education never let go ( topic)
Growing up, education had a strong role in our lives. Education is not easy for everyone, especially for refugees. Education provides you with global information as well as fundamental understanding about society. It also promotes mental wellness and helps you live a balanced existence. Education teaches people to respect others, value others, and treat others with dignity. Scientists and innovators are promoting science and technology solely for educational purposes. A well-educated person is courageous, self-assured, and astute and that’s why it is important to educate. It does not matter where you are or what condition you are in like a refugee student that has been going through a lot of things but still continues their education . For refugee people education is very important just because they want to have a better life and better future for themselves and their family and that’s why most of the refugee parents push their children to educate themselves because for them it is the only way to success in life .
Since 2009 I have been a refugee student who travels from country to country because of the wars going on in my country . In Afghanistan women do not have rights, it’s mostly patriarchy . Back in 2009 we had to leave the country because afghanistan wasn’t a place that is safe for us, i and my family decide to go Iran just because it was safer and it was close to my homeland and continue our educational life in iran and in those years that we have been lived there, we experience a lot of things such as violence and trauma, bullying and teasing, and still struggling to have our rights there too, still continue to our educational life because our parents would push us to do , because they believed that is the only way to be successful and have a better life . My parents both had to work to pay for our food , rent, transportation and education.
When we travel to other countries we have trouble communicating ,learning a new language ,learning a new culture, learning a new education style and trying to fit in . As my father always says every language is a character , my siblings and I speak four languages because we had to learn to fit in and communicate. It was hard and challenging for me especially because I had trouble trying to fit four languages in my mind. Sometimes I speak 4 languages at the same time and it makes others confused .The most hard thing was that when i didn’t speak the language i would fail all my classes except art but it was painful for me because in my country i was the smartest students in my class and failing would make me tear up and it would make me hopeless and sad . I traveled to Iran, Turkey, and the US , and the first hardest and challenging country was Turkey . The first one year and a half I was feeling really depressed and lonely because I wasn’t able to make friends or communicate with other people until I learned the language. Then I started again to be hopeful and study more to not fail the classes since I spoke the language and I understood the people and teachers and friends. While traveling I did not know what will happen, mostly I did not think about all the hardships that I will be going through. I wanted to be able to live with my rights and get the education I need in order to be successful, be cheerful, be happy, and hopeful because back in 2009-2015 i was facing depression in a very bad condition that i would lose my hair and i would thrown with thinking alot and worrying about everything since i did not had any friends and did not know what is going on around me and my life .
While thinking about all those years that have passed by and writing about them it makes me happy because I always knew that because of those things that I experienced I am here now still trying to fit in but in a successful way, all these years passing by anything could happen i could die in my country, i could have mental illness in Iran or Turkey, i could be a dropout from school and chose another direction in life , maybe now i was somewhere else doing something else instead of being here and writing about my educational journey and that makes me hopeful and happy , i am actually happy to be here to study and learn because i know that womens have rights here in US and i believe that i have a bright future as i am studying for my major and i will be working harder than ever to be successful and to be someone who i always dream about, this journey of life makes me think about past and think what i was and what i am becoming and the most important thing in my life i learn during my educational journey was that to have patience and it doesn’t matter what hardship you’re going through it will pass .This quote that i always believe in Know that victory comes with patience , relief with affliction and ease with hardship helped me go through everything .
Conclusion
All these years with me and my experience with my educational life. I am here for a better life. I may now be going through a lot of difficulties and will be going through a lot of ups and downs but in the end it is all worth it for a better life, and a bright future for me and my family and i am happy that i went through the hardships, ups and downs, sad moments and happy moments because i am built with all of those and it made me a better, successful, happy and proud person. I am still learning. I don’t say I am perfect but I try my best because we all come once a lifetime and if we are not trying our best then what are we doing then.
