Part 1 (75words )
The accounting function is critical to most organizations because it provides a snapshot of the organization’s performance for a specific time period as well as their financial health.
Example 1:
Financial statements are created to illustrate the financial status of an organization. This will help the organization set financial goals and help in making future decisions. For example, if the business’s financial statement shows that the business is not profiting than the company may need to adjust its expenses to increase their profit in the next fiscal.
Example 2:
Accounting is also important because it helps organizations understand how much they need to grow. An example of this is if a business person reviews their financial statements and realizes that their one Tim Horton’s branch has been profiting in the past three than he may consider expanding their portfolio and invest in more branches or expand their service such as adding a drive thru.
Part 2 (75words )
In my perspective small business often complain that getting financing maybe difficult due to large debt or issues with their credit.
1. Large debt can be an issue especially if there is not enough income being generated. This is an indication to banks that the entity receiving the funding may not be able to pay the amount back or it may put the company in more risk of debt.
2. If an organization does not have a good past payment history than their credit will indicate that the borrower may not be able to handle their payments. This will put the lender and borrower at risk
