Zealot The Life and Time of Jesus of Nazareth

There are three sections in the book Zealot: Second Temple zealotry, the life of Jesus, and the rise of Christianity in the context of Second Temple traditions.  In you review, I want you to summarize each section. In a critique section that will follow I want you to reflect on the book and discuss the following topics was the argument convincing? Do you agree to label Jesus as a zealot? Do you think there is a bias against Christianity in this book (based, or not based, on the Muslim origin of the author)? Aslan contrasts Jesus the man and the Christ. Did he convince you? You can also discuss other topics of your choice.
