At the top of your paper, I would like to have the name of the person with whom you interviewed, their title and the name of their organization. You should also include the date you conducted the interview.
Suggested headings for your paper include:
- job description
- industry trends
- how to market oneself for potential jobs within this industry
- education required
- suggested professional organizations to join
- industry publications they read, and
- credentials/computer skills they recommend.
Your job as an interviewer is NOT to get a job, but to find out more about their occupation, factors that contribute to success in that occupation and how to prepare and market yourself for that type of position.
In addition to a 2 page summary of your interview, please attach a copy of the business-professional thank you note you will write to the interviewee thanking them for their time. Please submit your original thank you note to the interviewee no later than 48 hours post interview.
