Preparation: You will prepare for this creative assignment as we continue to connect and build upon our understandings of education and disability studies through the course readings, lectures, and discussions. This is an opportunity for you to reimagine disability in education and reveal the learnings, questions, and concepts you are grappling with.

In this assignment you will:

1. Reimagine disability. Your creation will contribute to reimagining disability from a strength-based perspective and can be anything you want it to be. It can be a painting, a poem, a song, some type of imagery or print to provide awareness, a brochure, a newsletter, an article, an experience for children or for educators, a simulation, a scenario, and many other possibilities. 
2. You will share your creation with a group of your peers on the date that you signed up.
3. You will write a brief statement (1-2 pages) that discusses how your creation supports reimaging disability with evidence-based connections to course topics and readings.

Your creation, presentation and write up are all due on the date you sign up to present your creation. Depending on what your creation is and if you are unable to physically hand in your creation, you will be required to hand in photos or a video sharing your creation.

The purpose of this assignment is to:

• Build your awareness, understanding, and skills in relation to disability in mainstream society and in education;
• To reflect on ways that differences, disabilities and inclusion are demonstrated in the community and in education;
• To recognize the necessity to support identities through the creation of safe spaces for all people

Your assignment will include the following:

1. Your reimaging disability creation
2. A mini presentation (5-7 minutes) sharing your creation with a group of your peers
3. A brief (1-2 page) written synthesis demonstrating how your creation supports reimaging disability with evidence-based connections to course topics and readings with intext citations and references in APA format.

APA format is required.

Basically need you to reimagine disability and create some sort of creative presentation for it –      An online poster that depicts the reimagining of disability and then a write up to support it.
