1) Cellular Energy (20 points)
Imagine you are writing a piece of information that will be given to the public. Your goal is to explain this scientific process in a way that is relatable, but also uses key vocabulary and information. Explain either the process of respiration or the process of photosynthesis. Remember to include:
- Context: what is this process for? What are the products made? Where did they come from? What are the products used for? Be specific.
- Vocabulary: name important features and explain what they are. Use specific language.
- An example that relates to "everyday life": How and where do we see these processes occurring? This is brief (1 sentence is fine)
2) Chemical Bonds of Water: (20 points)
Imagine you are writing a piece of information that will be given to the public. Your goal is to explain this scientific process in a way that is relatable, but also uses key vocabulary and information. Explain the chemistry behind all of the bonds within a molecule of water and the bonds between molecules of water. Briefly describe all of the important effects of these bonds in natural processes. Use your notes to guide the content and level of detail. Remember to include:
- Context: why is this important?
- Vocabulary: name important features and explain what they are. Be specific.
- An example that relates to "everyday life": How and where do we see these processes occurring? This is brief (1-2 sentences is fine)
